Solo-Fix introduces a novel fixing concept to the UK roofing market. An integrated one-piece nail and clip for fixing the following Marley Eternit interlocking tiles: Solo-Fix clips are manufactured from high grade ZiAl® coated steel for strength and durability and are a quick and simple alternative to separate nails and clips. Solo-Fix clips have been fully tested to BS 5534 and the new ‘Simplified Zonal Fixing Method’, and can be used in most locations throughout the UK (subject to site exposure). Fixing specifications are available from the Marley Eternit Technical Advisory Service.

Fixing notes:

• Lay tiles in the normal manner, ensuring that vertical and horizontal alignment is maintained across the roof.
• Locate the flattened top of the clip onto the outer rib of the tile side-lock.
• Ensure the end point of the clip is located centrally in the back of the batten.
• Strike the bottom corner of the clip with a hammer until the vertical flange is driven firmly against the back edge of the tile beneath.
• Handle clips with care due to sharp end point
